One of these two men will be $9 million richer tomorrow morning. One of these two men will be crowned world poker champion -- and the other will probably be forgotten.
One of these two men will win the prestigious poker bracelet. One of these two men will be a national hero in his home country.
At 10 p.m. today in The Rio’s Penn & Teller theater, the boxing world’s most famous voice, Michael Buffer, will state his trademark words “let’s get ready to rumble!”
By 10:15 p.m., the cards will be shuffled, dealt and in the air.
For 22 year-old Peter Eastgate of Denmark, a little more is at stake. He wants to win because he would become the youngest person ever to hold the title. For 27-year-old Ivan Demidov of Moscow, Russia, he would go from obscurity to multi-millionaire in split seconds.

This was the scene, moments ago, when two gorgeous Jubilee showgirls from sister Strip resort casino Bally’s circled the two players and the $9 million. What our photo doesn’t show is the squad of security staff just outside the frame keeping an eagle-eye on the millions in cash!
What will the tension be like? “This will be a game unlike any other,” Eastgate said. “It will be the toughest, hardest game of my life,” Ivan said.
Fighting words indeed from Europe’s warriors.
