You never know who you will bump into at The Comedy Festival, or what cellophane-wrapped gift item that person might be carrying in a little purple souvenir bag.

Just now, I happened into Hooters comic Bobby Slayton, who was on his way to a quick pre-show dinner at Rao’s before hustling off to his 9 p.m. performance. I said, “Hello, Bobby!” He said, “J.K.! (that’s what he calls me -- J.K.)”

“What’s in the bag?” I asked.

“Chocolate dog sh*t!” he said.

“Chocolate dog sh*t? Wha-a?” I said.

“Yeah! Chocolate dog sh*t!” said the man who is known as the Pitbull of Comedy. “I wanted to give all the writers in town chocolate dog sh*t for Christmas!”

“Ah,” I said, looking over the chocolate dog sh*t. “That’s some funny sh*t.”

“I Googled chocolate dog sh*t and found, like, five companies who sell this sh*t!” he said. “It’s tremendous!”

So I took a couple of photos of the Pitbull and his chocolate dog sh*t. Then we parted ways, but I do expect to receive something odd in the mail within the month.
