It was the night of the Samba Smackdown for the three finalists on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars. Brooke Burke, who went first, chose the quickstep for her ballroom dance number. She scored 28 out of 30 despite admitting that her partner Derek Hough had injured his back and they had to do dance rehearsals in a swimming pool! They also for the second time this season notched up perfect 10s for their freestyle number, putting them at the head of the leader board with 58 out of 60.

Sir Dance-a-Lot Lance Bass went second and wound up with 26 out of 30 for his mambo and 27 out of 30 for the freestyle hip-hop for a total of 53 out of 60. (Click HERE for our interview with the former ’N Sync star posted this morning). Super Bowl champion Warren Sapp scored 28 out of 30 for his paso doble but only 25 out of 30 for his freestyle for another 53-point total.

That means going into the finals results show tomorrow, Lance and Warren are tied at 53 points apiece, and Brooke leads with 58. Now it’s up to the viewers to vote for the ultimate winner of tomorrow night’s last broadcast of the 7th season, which will feature singers Alicia Keys and Miley Cyrus, who will sing her current single “Fly on the Wall.”

Our hometown singer Toni Braxton will perform again, and acid-cruel comedy king Jeffrey Ross, who was the first to be kicked off this season, will return to roast the three finalists before the viewer votes are tallied and the new champion is crowned!
