It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas with George Wallace’s help

It was the 15th annual cactus lighting event out at our hometown Ethel’s Chocolate plant -- and Flamingo headliner George Wallace was joined by singers Clint Holmes and Zowie Bowie to switch on the 650,000 lights.

More than 800 people showed up for the Cactus Lights festivities in Henderson. The holiday cactus garden remains open until Jan. 1 every day from 5 to 10 p.m. except for Christmas Day -- and it’s free to the public!

Bet you buy a box of chocolates, though! Clint and Zowie Bowie sang holiday classics and carols and Ethel’s presented a check for $10,000 to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure breast cancer charity.
