Day 26 at Jet.

MTV cameras were rolling on the screaming fans who turned out en masse for P.Diddy’s boyband Day 26 when they appeared for a special performance at Jet nightclub in The Mirage. The crew sang their singles “Come With Me,” “Exclusive” and “Got Me Going,” and they closed with “Since You’ve Been Gone.” Day 26 members Qwanell Mosley, Mike McCluney, Willie Taylor, Robert Curry and Brian Andrews rocked the house and then relaxed in the VIP section afterwards.
Mark Curry and Shawn King.
Next door at sister Bank nightclub in the Bellagio, Hanging With Mr. Cooper star Mark Curry and NFL star Shawn King partied into the wee hours. Pop star Ryan Cabrera and Matt Garza of the Tampa Bay Rays also turned up at the Bank, and one enthusiastic MLB fan sent Matt a bottle of Cristal champagne! Current chart-topping songwriter B.C. Jean also was at Bank. He wrote the controversial single “If I Were a Boy” with Beyonce’s father/manager Matthew Knowles for himself, but it’s wound up as a huge hit for Beyonce. So now B.C. says he’ll become a pop star himself to show he’s more than just a lad with the lyrics.
System of a Down's Serj Tankian is in good company.
Back at The Mirage in the Beatles Revolution Lounge, System of a Down rocker Serj Tankian partied with friends and spent time playing with the interactive computer cocktail tables there, sending music requests to resident DJ Trens.
The stars poured into LAX at the Luxor, with everybody from lovebirds Holly Madison and Criss Angel to American Idol judge Paula Abdul to Transporter actor Jason Statham and Oasis brothers Neil and Liam Gallagher making an appearance. Also there: the three Kardashian sisters, Kim, Kloe and Kourtney, and their brother Robert. They’ll be back for New Year’s Eve midnight-countdown duties at LAX.
Nick Cannon at Pure.
Up at sister Pure nightclub in Caesars Palace, Tracy Morgan and Mark-Paul Gosselaar were joined by Mike Epps from the hit Friday movies. As tattoo mogul Mario Bath settled into a VIP booth alongside them, the comics broke out the Moet Chandon to celebrate as DJ AM spun the wheels of steel (for a review of DJ AM’s set, click HERE for Vegas DeLuxe Editor John Katsilometes’ story). On the night that smooth singer Usher and his entourage turned up to listen to Nick Cannon playing guest DJ, comedy actor Brad Garrett made a stop, while comic actor David Alan Grier took in a midnight performance of the sexy Pussycat Dolls in the adjoining lounge.
DJ Eric Cubeechee celebrates his birthday at Christian Audigier.
Over at sister nightspot Christian Audigier in Treasure Island, DJ Eric Cubeechee, once engaged to actress Jaime Pressley, was supposed to stay away from the wheels of steel for his own birthday blast. But he couldn’t resist and jumped into DJ Hollywood’s booth until the servers brought him a birthday cake crowned with candles that he had to stop to blow out. Retired Seattle Seahawks player Jamie Sharper joined the festivities.
Palms tycoon George Maloof and the Playboy Bunnies.
Finally have to tip my hat to fellow cardinal of creativity and chronicler of culture, man about town Norm Clarke, on the publication of his new book Vegas Confidential: Sinsational Celebrity Tales. Palms tycoon George Maloof threw the launch party at the Playboy Club with a host of Strip stars scattered among the Playboy bunnies, but the nightclub was off-limits to Donny Osmond. He wanted to congratulate Norm on the new book, but his Mormon faith prevented him from entering the sexy gaming area, so they met downstairs in Nove instead! Norm’s 200-page color celebrity photo book is a must-buy for the dishiest dish in Vegas, including the stories of why Pete Rose smacked him across the face, his face-to-face spat with Criss Angel, his run-in with Jerry Lewis, and Britney Spears’ wild, 36-hour quickie Vegas wedding and divorce -- and a host of other meltdowns in the hard-hitting pages.
