Love on Thanksgiving for Katy: ‘I kissed a Hero’

Now, what did Grandma say this time? Superstar singer Katy Perry, who hails from Santa Barbara, Calif., is a regular Las Vegas visitor because her 87-year-old grandmother, Anne, still lives here in Vegas.

So it was a very Perry Thanksgiving here for the holiday -- and Katy brought boyfriend Gym Class Heroes vocalist Travis McCoy along with her family for Grandma's turkey and trimmings. The last time Vegas DeLuxe caught up with Katy and Grandma was when she opened the new Rok Vegas club at New York-New York.

We'd asked her then what Grandma thought of her hit song "I Kissed A Girl" and if she approved of the lyrics. Click HERE for that story and the photos.

This time Katy and Travis were openly and affectionately hand-in-hand with family in tow when they all arrived for the 10 p.m. Beatles Love musical by Cirque du Soleil at The Mirage. Spywitnesses said they stayed holding hands while laughing and clapping during the spectacular show.

Now if only I'd been there, I would have asked Grandma what she thought of Katy's new boyfriend, his nose ring and those extraordinary tattoos. I think she would have gently teased me with, "At least she's kissing a boy!"

It’s the first time lovebirds Katy and Travis have been seen back here in Vegas together since the opening of Rok Vegas -- and they’ve got Grandma's approval just like the girls-kiss record hit!
