Strip Scribbles: Li.Lo avoids the cameras, star sightings and tonight’s tip
By Robin Leach
*Lindsay Lohan didn’t remain in total hiding on her visit to the Palms with girlfriend-lover Samantha Ronson -- but did avoid the hungry paparazzi. They managed to sneak in and out of the N9NE steakhouse restaurant and the Rain nightclub without getting caught on camera -- although DJ Samantha did pose for the official shot of her with No. 1 world DJ Paul Oakenfold. Lindsay stuck to Fiji water the entire trip while Samantha enjoyed her Ketel One vodka with Red Bull. Also reveling in the food and the music of both hot spots were Carey Hart and Young Jeezy. Khloe Kardashian and mom Kris Jenner enjoyed Le Tourment Vert absinthe cocktails with Palms owners, brothers George and Gavin Maloof. All of them went on up to the Fantasy Tower rooftop Moon nightclub, where they joined the Sunset Tan staffers and Minnesota Timberwolves basketball player Corey Brewer, all continuing birthday celebrations for rapper Young Jeezy.

*While galpal Jenna Jameson is getting bedrest at home expecting twins, proud poppa-to-be Tito Ortiz has been out and about on the Strip easing his nervousness. He hit the Vanity party at the Cathouse in the Luxor, where Jenna threw him his sexy birthday party earlier this year. He also turned up at the new ROK club inside the New York New York resort. That has to be the last of the late nights though because Tito makes his Affliction mixed martial arts debut on Oct. 11 at our Thomas & Mack arena when he battles Renato ‘Babalu’ Sobral.

*The seventh annual Jean-Louis Palladin Foundation dinner will be held Sunday evening Nov. 2 at the original Andre’s Restaurant on 6th Street downtown. Last year Chef Andre Rochat raised $40,000 for scholarship programs in the name of the late French-born kitchen genius who ran his self-named restaurant at the Rio until his tragic sudden death in November 2001. I’ll return again as auctioneer for the event so please call Andre’s now for your reservations.
*Star Surveillance: Incredible Hulk star Lou Ferrigno, in town for the Mr. Olympia contests, took time out to star at the grand opening ceremonies of the new Art of Music store in Mandalay Place ... Rapper Young Jeezy celebrated his birthday in high style at the Bank nightclub in the Bellagio ... The boutique Blush nightclub Sleep Swim event was a day of partying at the Wynn Las Vegas pool with DJ Mighty Mi, followed by another party in the club that brought out Flamingo headliner comedian George Wallace, who had a front row seat on the dance floor.

*It's not your grandma’s cantina! Michael Frey and Craig Gilbert have opened their new “T&T” sexy high-energy infused Tacos and Tequila restaurant at the Luxor. The 8,000-square-foot restaurant was designed with five icons of Mexican culture: the sombrero, the shot glass, the bullfight, seductive women and skeletons! Revered celebrity chef Richard Sandoval designed the menu of amazing no-fuss mod-mex taste treats.
*So the Mamma Mia! musical is moving out of Mandalay Bay and being replaced by Disney’s Lion King musical early next year -- just as Luxe Life revealed -- but today marks the 29th anniversary that ABBA performed at Radio City Musical Hall – one of only three performances the group ever gave in New York. Tomorrow the group’s Mamma Mia! movie opens in Italy and Sunday marks the 3,969th performance in London’s West End as it gets ready to start its 11th hit year there – so they are all still going strong.
Tonight's tip
Hard to believe it's almost 40 years since Chicago played on ‘Saturday In the Park’ and dodged ‘A Rainy day in New York City’ -- and the eight-man band is still going strong. They start a two-week stand at the MGM Grand through Oct. 15. Their newest album is Chicago 32: Stone of Sisyphus! … the Fremont Street Experience premieres 'Born 2B Wild" as a Viva Vision light and sound show followed by a two-hour concert by the Culture Killers. It all starts downtown on the 1st and 3rd Street stages:
Fandango kicks off at 6 p.m. on the 3rd Street stage followed by Yellow Brick Road on the 1st Street stage and then Culture Killers at 9 p.m. on the 3rd Street stage. Listen to the music and explore the showcased custom bikes and the Riders of the Thunderdrome' stunt motorcyclists ... The nearby Hogs & Heifers Saloon hosts a BikeFest after-party with the music of Moanin’ Blacksnakes.
Tomorrow's tease
A slew of superstars with everybody from The Jonas Brothers to Nine Inch Nails have Vegas in their sights this fall and Luxe Life has the complete listing. Trendsetter Nicky Hilton heads to the Strip to celebrate her 25th birthday bash and we meet up with the newly crowned Miss Hawaiian Tropic Zone Las Vegas. We've also got the complete track rundown of the new Killers album as they prepare for a rare Saturday Night Life surprise weekend appearance!
