Multitudes of Santas will be on the run in Vegas on Dec. 7.

The battle lines are drawn! Vegas now has to compete with the Beatles hometown of Liverpool, an Irish county and an Australian city in the Great Santa Run to claim the Guinness World Record! This morning (Tuesday) I’ll host our Opportunity Village press conference and introduce Liverpool’s representative, Alan Rothwell, and Australian race director Steve Martin. My good friends, the singing duo Zowie Bowie, will perform and bring on Santa Claus making his first appearance of the holiday season. We’re still waiting on Guinness to certify our 7,269 Santa–garbed runners last year as the new world record -- and hopefully we’ll nail it again this year on Dec. 6 race day.

The Santa Run is one of the big annual fundraising efforts for the courageous mentally and physically challenged at Opportunity Village and we all want you to sign up and participate in our efforts: www.LasVegasSantaRun.org.
