A slew of celebrities join pop-cult sensation Justin Timberlake today for his debut year as host of the PGA Tour’s Vegas stop. Record crowds are expected this year to line the course and the greens to cheer on the stars and the golf-greats! Today you can expect to see "Spamalot" star John O’Hurley, comedian George Lopez, Olympic swimmer Amanda Beard, actor Josh Duhamel, singers Chris Kirkpatrick (formerly with NSYNC) and Josh Kelley among the VIP names.
Justin has already been out playing golf at the TPC Summerlin – and after playing with pro-prince John Daly yesterday he took time out for a second visit this week to the Hard Rock hotel casino. At the weekend he’d taken steady galpal actress Jessica Biel for dinner at Nobu but this time Justin arrived solo in a black leather jacket, scarf and sunglasses to lunch with his sisters. Justin then had a private meet and greet with the wives of the PGA players in town for his Golf Digest-sponsored charity tournament benefiting Shriners Hospitals for Children.

“This is what golf is all about sport, competition and giving back” said Golf Digest publisher Thomas Blair, who is sponsoring the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals fort Childrens Celebrity Pro-Am. “They will enjoy a tremendous day of golf (today) and they will also be supporting a truly worthy cause.”
The PGA Tour has been an annual event in Summerlin since the early 90s -- but this is the first year it's brought out so many celebrities. And presumably so many crowds faithfully following the celebrities around the course! A 22,000-square-foot pavilion, known as The Hill, has been specially built to overlook the 16th, 17th and 18th greens and the lounge has 18 plasma TV screens to show all the action at the tee.
Our colleagues at the Las Vegas Sun, far more knowledgeable about golf than your humble correspondent, have logged some incredible up-close stories from Justin and the golfers- and CLICK HERE for exclusive Sun video of him at play!
Pop-star Justin is one of the best celebrity golfers today and playing with his friend, Tiger Woods shot an amazing 83 in a practice round at the challenging Torrey Pines course in La Jolla, Calif., earlier this year. Tiger said “no amateur golfer could break 100 on a U.S. Open course.” Justin who has won six Grammy Awards proved him wrong! Then he did it again when NBC-TV was filming with ‘Today’ show host Matt Lauer with a 98!

Justin Timberlake, left, and touring pro John Daly wait for the start of a pro-am event Monday at TPC Summerlin.
The highlight of Justin’s week in Vegas comes Friday night when he’s invited another set of stars over from Hollywood to perform at his own Justin & friends concert. In the lineup pop-heart-throbs the Jonas Brothers, slinky singer Rihanna, Adam Levine from Maroon 5, Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am, rapper 50 Cent, Boyz II Men, Simon Cowell’s discovery Leona Lewis and Esmee Denters. Luxe Life will be front and center for the show and the private VIP afterparty at Prive nightclub -- and we’ll have those exclusive photos right here over the weekend.
