Following fiery crash, DJ AM returns for first Vegas nightclub gig
By Robin Leach
DJ AM, during his triumphant return to Pure.
Burn victim Adam Goldstein made a triumphant return as DJ AM to PURE at Caesars Palace early this morning -- just 30 days after his miracle escape from a private jet crash that killed four people and badly injured his seatmate and good friend, drummer Travis Barker.

The world famous mix master was the talk of the Strip last night and this morning as he resumed his residency at the Sin City hot spot. It was shortly after 12.01 a.m. today that DJ Hollywood got on the mic to welcome DJ AM back to the “wheels of steel.” The crowd throughout the entire club roared its approval and then the mash-up phenomenon got behind the turntables and with an ear-to-ear grin started spinning.

Celebrating his return were fellow DJ Homicide, members of hip-hop group Boo-Yaa T.R.I.B.E. , Starlight Tattoo founder Mario Barth, professional bodybuilder Jay Cutler and pro poker player David Williams. Adam spun his records until the pre-dawn hours and dozens of partygoers snapped photos, cheered him on and as they danced through the night.
It was very early Saturday morning Sept. 20, that Adam and Travis escaped on fire from a burning, private Learjet that crashed on takeoff. The pilot, co-pilot and two friends of the former Blink 182 drummer were killed after a tire exploded and the plane erupted in a flaming fireball. Adam and Travis put each other's flames out, and were then transferred by helicopter and ambulance from the Columbia , S.C. crash site to a burn center unit in Georgia (CLICK HERE, HERE and HERE for our reports - Sept 20-21).
Adam is a partner also in the new LAX nightclub at the Luxor. Travis was released early this week from a burn treatment center in Los Angeles after being transferred cross-country by ambulance from Georgia.
