A Halloween match: Obama and Vegas

By Robin Leach

It’s the wildest night of the year in Vegas -– with crazy costumes, outrageous outfits and the sexiest of scandalous soirees. Everywhere you move, there’s the bizarre and the unabashed. It’s the one dress-up or undress night -- all the barely clad lingerie lovelies want to be naughty nurses or stripper sluts.

Right into the middle of the delicious decadence called Halloween comes the Democratic nominee for president, Sen. Barack Obama!

It’s unknown whether he’ll attend the Criss Angel/Cirque du Soleil Believeopening that night at the Luxor. It’s unknown if the 60 Secret Service agents now on his detail will let him see any of the provocative parties -- including the nearest one at Pure, where That 70’s Show star Wilmer Valderrama presents his “Super Heroes & Mischievious Villains” $20,000 costume party prize. (Wonder if that’s what Barack thinks of his opponent, John McCain?) But I'm betting Michellle Obama won't be dressing up for that party!

It’s unknown if they’ll dine at Rao’s, Guy Savoy, Bradley Ogden, Bobby Flay or Wolfgang Puck’s restaurants while he’s ensconced in the presidential tower suites at Caesars Palace.

Are you curious just how many folks travel with him when he makes a pit stop like this? I’m told there will be 85 rooms set aside for his mobile staff so add the 60 for the security -- and you’ve got a grand total of 145 charged to his Amex!!! All on one totally sealed-off floor! Just watch for major traffic congestion in and around Caesars and the Strip at the height of Halloween insanity when the convoy of cars arrives under police escort!

Vegas sure makes the most interesting stop of the last campaign tour dates on Halloween night just four days before general election voting! I can almost see the headlines now!
