Strip Scribbles: Celine Dion’s new collection and tonight’s tips

* Former Caesars Palace headliner Celine Dion – who more than likely will return there next year - releases a 26-song compilation CD today. Titled "My Love - The Ultimate Essential Collection," it was put together while she was on her current yearlong world tour. Celine was here in Vegas on a brief break from her global travels while manager husband Rene Angelil met with Caesars executives about new dates back at the Colosseum. Celine took 8-year-old son Rene Charles to see Criss Angel’s “Believe” show at the Luxor, since the youngster is one of the Mindfreak’s biggest fans!

*Topless dancers from a number of Strip shows have teamed up for their very own starring revue -- the Sin City Kitties -- and they’ve found a home to show their assets at the Whiskey Pete’s showroom down the I-15 toward Stateline. The beautiful and seductive girls include Lily, Champagne, Dazee, Siren, Summer, Gigi and Roxy, who have been anonymous until now at Jubilee, Risque, the Rio’s Show in the Sky and even from Steve Wyrick’s Magic Show. The sexy milk-bath number is reason enough to pop the cork at Buffalo Bill’s Star of the Desert arena just 20 minutes south of the Strip.

*This year’s Comedy Festival kicking off Nov. 20 will for the first time feature 25 comics performing live from the LOL Lounge on the Internet. Fans will be able to select from four different simultaneous video streams and no ticket is required! Three feeds will showcase the new comics, a backstage live at the lounge and a web interview show from the casino floor. The fourth feed will feature all of the past performances of this fourth annual Vegas event plus TBS cable comedy hits. If you want to see the technology and watch for real go to the Emperors Ballroom at Caesars. Luxe Life will provide a link to the www.thecomedyfestival.com website for the webcasts that begin each night of the festival at 6:30 p.m. (Pacific Time).

*Our Rio headliners, Penn & Teller, made the quick trip over to Hollywood for the re-installation of illusionist Harry Houdini’s newly madeover star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Siegfried & Roy didn’t jet in as originally planned for the event hosted by actor-magician Neil Patrick Harris, who will join Penn & Teller at the premiere of the new Criss Angel "Believe" show on Friday at the Luxor.

*On the nightclub scene: the world’s most famous dance music DJ phenomenon, DJ Tiesto, took a night off from "twisting the wheels of steel" to relax at the Bank nightclub in the Bellagio with Light Group’s customer development president Jodi Myers ... next door at sister hotspot Jet in the Mirage, scene-stealer actor Efren Ramirez (Pedro) from the quirky 2004 "Napoleon Dynamite" comedy, showed with his twin brother Carlos for a "Vote for Pedro" party. A special “vote T-shirt” cake was created by the Jean-Philippe Patisserie and served up by the sexy shot girls. Efren took over as guest DJ and stayed spinning until 3 a.m.! … former Run DMC rap group member the Rev Run was the celebrity host at the Body English nightclub inside the Hard Rock hotel casino and brought along rapper Coolio and Mel DeBarge to add the music.

*Halloween horrors and spooky soirees attended by folks in barely-there crazed cutout costumes really gets underway tonight with the legendary Studio 54 nightclub at MGM. It transforms itself into a haunted haven for a wicked week of frightening fun. Call it spooktacular! There will be naughty nurses, wanton warriors and torture temptresses all lined up to thrill and chill at the 11th annual celebration "Nightmare on 54th Street." The five-day festival of tricks and treats has $20,000 in prizes for the spine-chilling costume contests and the studio’s sexy spider girls will spin, swoop and swing on aerial webs along with a real-life slithering serpent handled by "Snake Babe." This year’s extravaganza has a ‘Thriller’ theme to celebrate Michael Jackson’s 25th anniversary and includes ghostly graveyards and scary zombies. Tomorrow is the Monsters Ball, Thursday is the 42nd Annual Beaux Arts Ball with MTV’s SuperCr3w and Britney Spears male impersonator Derrick Barry from "America’s Got Talent." It's all followed by a weekend long non-stop party for ghoulish guests!
