Following double surgery, country singer and professional dancer Julianne Hough, who used to be a student here at the Las Vegas Academy, was awake and alert enough to watch last night’s Dancing with the Stars -– as Luxe Life reported yesterday evening. (CLICK HERE) Incredibly, she vowed to return in time for next week’s follow-up round with her dance partner, Cody Linley, from the Hannah Montana series, the youngest contestant to-date on the hit ABC-TV show. However, not even Cody believes the doctors will permit such a fast return despite her determination, so dancer Edyla Sliwinska will partner with Cody until she gets back.

Meantime, that left crusty 82-year-old Cloris Leachman to battle it out in last place with All My Children soap star Susan Lucci -- as Luxe Life predicted yesterday. In the end result, based on viewer votes, show host Tom Bergeron announced that Cloris was being sent home -– never to return again! She promptly sat down on the dance-floor and said, “I’m not leaving”! Now, Susan is in real jeopardy for next week. Our Vegas regular Lance Bass is perfectly safe for now and although slightly ahead on the leader board is in a neck-and-neck leading position with TV host Brooke Burke.
