Will Hef marry Holly or is she making magic with Criss Angel?

Secret plans are underway for "a wedding in the Playboy mansion" on the new next season of Girls Next Door but mystery swirls around just who is getting married. Naturally the assumption is that Hef himself will tie the knot with longtime galpal Holly Madison, who became No. 1 in the three-pack of beauties who make up the headline stars of the MTV series.

The Girls Next Door.

The gossip all began when Kendra and Bridget visited Vegas a week ago and revealed the wedding surprise accidentally. That was promptly followed by the startling admission that both girls would be moving out of the bunny-hutch after the ceremony. Logically that would leave one to assume the Playboy king, Hugh Hefner, would tie the knot with Holly who has made no secret with Luxe Life that she wants Hef’s baby!

However, two startling surprises now make that wedding news somewhat questionable. First, Hef has to obtain a divorce from former wife, Kimberley Conrad. She’s also a former Playmate and according to best sources not only still lives on the adjoining Mansion property but has also refused to grant Hef his wish for a divorce. Legally and technically, Hef can’t marry until he’s divorced!

But now the biggest shocker! Holly has been out and about all Labor Day weekend here in Vegas solo! -- and magically on one dinner date showed up with new Cirque du Soleil Believe magician, Criss Angel! Yes he’s apparently waved his magic wand again and cast a spell over another blonde knockout beauty. I know the denials of romance will come fast today but spies at the Cathouse restaurant and club in the Luxor where he lives swear the twosome were a late-night couple. They sat closerthanthis!

It's apparently the second time in a few days that Criss has showed up with Holly -- and people who spotted her in a tight sexy clingy black dress said the two of them were definitely "canoodling huggy huggy kissy kissy" in a corner of the nightclub.

Luxe Life, as usual, will probe the new friendship in an attempt to ascertain the biggest mystery of Girls Next Door. It may also uncover and explain the fact that Hef has also been reported to be involved with another new galpal that caught his eye! My pal, gossip gangstar Perez Hilton, has already noted there’s a new girl in Hef’s life!

Meantime, Criss enters the final two weeks of rehearsals and run-throughs of his new Cirque du Soleil Believe show at the Luxor in advance of the start of previews on Sept. 12. But his friend -- not to be confused with girlfriend, sex-goddess Pamela Anderson -- may be slightly miffed that at the last moments he’s created an extraordinary new illusion using doves! Pamela persuaded magician Hans Klok to abandon all his animal routines when the blonde showgirl starred with him last year at Planet Hollywood. I’m told that no harm, injury or upset comes to the doves that Criss is working with -- and there’s no reason for Pamela to be alarmed on behalf of the PETA animal group that she actively campaigns for against animal cruelty and misuse.

Earlier, Criss had promised "no rabbits" in the show but he’s worked up a new dove act, which fellow magicians who’ve already seen it say is "unusual, unique and mighty impressive." I was told: "Criss would never ever see an animal hurt, harmed, shocked, ill-treated or threatened. So his doves are in the finest of care. Pamela has nothing to be concerned about."

Well, Bridget is STILL married, Kendra however is ... I dunno. But it's all gossip until there are PICTURES, there's always pictures.
