Pregnancy rumors swirl around Jessica Simpson as she prepares for Vegas trip

The rumor mills are busy churning with buzz that blonde bombshell Jessica Simpson and her Dallas Cowboys football star boyfriend Tony Romo are expecting a baby!

We’ll find out for certain when the now-country singer arrives here Thursday for a VIP cocktail reception at the Moon nightclub in the Palms followed by her concert at the Pearl theater.

Jessica is starring at the fifth-annual Night Out benefit to raise funds for our Rape Crisis Center. Local Channel 13 news anchor Nina Radetich will host the back-to-back events as she has since they were started in 2003.

Jessica says she will perform tracks from her soon-to-be-released country-format album along with some of her own pop-music favorites.

For now Jessica says she’s put her acting career on hold to focus on her new country music love. She said: “I’m not closing the acting part of my life by any means. But I am all about the music right now. When it comes to acting, it’s got to feel right for me at this point in my life. It’s got to just be a really incredible director and production with an awesome studio and great cast. But for me right now Jessica Simpson is music.”

Ironically it was at the Palms earlier this year when George Maloof opened his new Palms Place condo-tower that Jessica’s younger sister, Ashley, confirmed that she and beau rocker Pete Wentz were expecting their first baby – now due almost any moment!

Since she’s about to become Aunt Jessica maybe she will let loose with her own "stork news" next week!
