Hometown recording artist and songwriter Ne-Yo decided a local Strip nightclub would be the perfect spot to debut his first single from a brand new album Year of the Gentleman that premiered next morning! Just before 2 a.m. the Grammy Award winning hip-hop R&B sensation went into DJ Hollywood’s booth at Pure nightclub in Caesars Palace. Ne-Yo grabbed the mic and gave an electrifying impromptu performance of his chart-topping track “Closer.” It got such a rave reaction he then serenaded the excited audience with his earlier hit, “So Sick” which won him even more shout-outs and applause. He retreated to a VIP booth to celebrate with many of his family and friends toasting with Veuve Cliquot champagne. In the crowd enjoying the surprise showcase was professional boxer Winky Wright.
