Believe it: Angel-Madison pairing might have left Hef out

Criss Angel’s back-to-back weekend Vegas nightclub dates this month with Hugh Hefner’s No. 1 Girl Next Door may have triggered a “broken romance” for the Playboy King – and accelerated “crashed dreams” of a wedding for blonde bombshell Holly Madison. Whatever has happened has certainly created dramatic changes in the lives of them all.

She admitted this week: “Hef and I are not getting married! We are Partners in Crime.” Then she added mysteriously: “Criss and I are just friends right about now. It would not be a secret if I were engaged to anyone.” Holly also created more drama revealing that while in Vegas she and Bridget had tried to get married – and the hi-jinx that ensued from that will be seen on an upcoming episode of Season 5, which premieres on E! Entertainment one week from Sunday (Oct. 5).

Hef himself added to the mystery of the torn torrid triangle saying: “"She is still my girlfriend. Now will that last? I don’t think anything lasts forever.” He then confirmed big changes ahead for Girls Next Door that next year’s sixth season of the reality series may even feature a search for replacement girls -- before he calls it quits! That’s because Kendra has reportedly become “secretly” engaged to Philadelphia Eagles receiver Hank Baskett, and Bridgett is “seriously dating” somebody else -- with Hef’s approval. Kendra and Hank have been spotted together all over Philadelphia the past two weeks.

Holly Madison and Criss Angel, shown in a previous photo at Cathouse, were spotted early this morning, again at the Luxor nightspot.

Criss and Holly were first spotted together at his favorite LAX nightclub in the Luxor where he lives in a rooftop penthouse. Then the romance rumors went into overdrive when they turned up together again exactly seven days later. They were at choreographer Wade Robson’s birthday party at the Blush boutique nightclub in the Wynn.

Eyewitnesses reported the twosome “cozied up kissing and cuddling” and “smooching while dancing intimately tight with each other.” Gossip guru Perez Hilton went as far as to say his many reliable sources told him: “They were making out. They were kissing. They didn’t hide it – and they haven’t denied it.”

During her seven-year romance with 82-year-old Hefner, 29-year-old Holly always said she wanted to marry him and have his babies -- but that’s not likely to happen now -- particularly because he is still married to former Playmate Kimberley Conrad (the mother of two of his four children) and hasn’t ever filed for divorce. In fact she still lives in a guesthouse on Hef’s Holmby Hills bunny-hutch estate.

Insiders tell me that its not a case of a sudden showdown between Holly and Hef – but that the relationship has run its course and she has to move on in order to find a new romance because he turned down her marriage plea.

Hef addressed that situation: “I love her very much but you know she wants to get married and have children. That isn’t very much in the cards for me. So there has to be a certain reality there and I’m sure the time will come when she’ll be dating others. I’m sure there are going to be changes in the relationships. That’s part of the transition. I think that in the future the girls are going to be dating others and moving out of the mansion and when that happens we won’t keep it a secret.”

Said Holly: “I want to be with somebody who I can be married to and have kids.” On her MySpace page she has now added that Mindfreak is her favorite TV show. Holly also cryptically commented about the photo of her and Criss together saying: “I love how that totally innocent picture of us means we are not just dating but ‘going public.’”

All this “times are a-changing” at the Playboy Mansion coincides with the first night of previews for Cirque du Soleil’s new ‘ Criss Angel Believe’ magic show at the Luxor resort casino tonight (Friday). CLICK HERE for all our full coverage, exclusive interviews, videos and photos of Criss backstage.

No word as to whether Holly will attend tonight’s debut preview show for a third consecutive weekend but we’ll be there - for our special report tomorrow morning of how the Mindfreak star’s 15-year dream finally came to fruition.

Believe becomes the sixth resident Cirque show on the Vegas strip tonight -- but the first to star a celebrity headliner. Criss plays the role of a Victorian lord on a mystical journey through his mind meeting characters from both the “dark and light” sides. He has promised eight extraordinary illusions that have never been seen or experienced before during the 90-minute twice-nightly spectacular.

I’m told that Monte Carlo magician Lance Burton teamed with Criss to create one mind-boggling “rain levitation.” Criss has confirmed to me that there will also be a “tornado like experience that wraps right around the theater audience.”

“You will see things done with magic that have never been done before. This is a completely new direction for Cirque, for magic and for Criss,” summed up Cirque’s president, Daniel Lamarre.
