Barker en route home

By Robin Leach

Drummer Travis Barker is now on a specially equipped medical bus with his former wife, Shanna, returning to his Los Angeles home for continued treatment. Luxe Life has learned that he was released from the Doctors Hospital burn unit in Georgia following a fiery LearJet crash in South Carolina that killed two pilots and two passengers. The 24-hour-plus journey should be completed late tomorrow. Travis refused to board an air-ambulance to fly back to California and insisted on traveling home by road.

Travis and fellow passenger Adam Goldstein , known as DJ AM, a partner in the LAX nightclub at the Luxor, escaped by jumping from the crashed plane down the crumpled right wing. They helped each other put out flames on their burning clothing. Both were transferred to the burn-specialty hospital.

Adam flew back to Los Angeles at the weekend and earlier this afternoon (Monday) turned up at the funeral for Travis' assistant who was killed in the crash.

Luxe Life will continue to monitor this ongoing story and report details of Travis' fight for full recovery.
