Celebrity Wedding crasher Kato Kaelin misses reunion with O.J.

During the O.J. Simpson murder trial, his houseguest Kato Kaelin was called upon to give evidence of what he saw and heard that night. His testimony and thumping demonstrations of a roof intruder were a compelling and memorable moment in the courtroom and propelled the unknown actor toward a reality TV show career.

Ironically, both Kato and O.J. are back together in the same city -- and not too far apart. O.J. is here in jail after a second arrest and court conviction for armed robbery at the Palace Station, while Kato has turned up as a celebrity crasher in Tony ’n’ Tina’s Wedding at Planet Hollywood.

Our contributing photographer Denise Truscello was there for Kato’s opening night. He appears in the show through April 8 as part of the rotating celebrities who crash the celebration.

I urge you to read my writer colleague and friend Richard Abowitz’s online piece for the Los Angeles Times (click HERE. Richard interviewed Kato, who said that O.J.’s conviction here in Las Vegas was 100 percent karma. Kato told Richard, who also writes for our Las Vegas Weekly, that he found the first courtroom trial to be nerve-wracking and that after being sequestered, he heard certain things that made him believe that O.J. had committed the murders!
