More than 800,000 tickets for the North American leg of this summer’s Jonas Brothers world tour were sold within an hour of going on sale, proving the young band’s explosive growth. The Jonas Brothers are here at the Mandalay Bay Events Center on Aug. 1, and they are trying to add another concert to meet demand.

Five shows were sold out at arenas in and near New York City alone, and second dates have already been added in Chicago, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and Vancouver, B.C., to meet the staggering demand.

When the JoBros hit Las Vegas, it will be the band’s most ambitious production yet and will include a massive 140-foot-plus stage centered in the arena that will give a larger number of fans a closer, more interactive live concert than they’ve previously experienced. You can take a first look at their new stage on their YouTube channel HERE.

The show will feature cutting-edge technology used in a one-of-a-kind circular water screen, multi-color laser effects, motion automated video screens, a giant crane levitating over the audience, plus other surprises that will bring the tour to the next level of concert entertainment. Special guests American Idol Season 6 winner and platinum-selling artist Jordin Sparks and rising stars Honor Society will open for the brothers.

They will tour three continents to promote the release of their next album June 15. The tour begins May 17 in Monterrey, Mexico; then it’s off to Peru, Chile, Brazil and Argentina, where Demi Lovato will be the opening act. After a brief visit to Europe in June, including sold-out dates in Madrid, Paris and London, the band will tour North America and then return to Europe in October and November.

"Ticket sales for this tour have been phenomenal," said Jason Garner, CEO of Global Music for Live Nation. “The band has already sold out arena dates in 13 major cities, including Madrid, London and Paris, and with additional dates going on sale in Mexico and South America and Europe in April, it’s clear to us that Jonas Brothers are a true global touring powerhouse."
