All 51 of the Miss USA 2009 contestants arrived safely yesterday and settled into their new home at Planet Hollywood. With bags unpacked, the four beauties representing the states whose teams are in the NCAA Final Four this weekend decided that some friendly rivalry on the court was a good way to stretch out from their cross-country flights.
Planet Hollywood is now the home of the Basketball Hall of Fame’s new interactive Hoops Hall Experience, which opened there yesterday.
Miss Universe Organization photographer Darren Decker captured this winning photo of, from left to right, Miss Pennsylvania Lindsey Nelson, Miss North Carolina Kristen Dalton,, Miss Connecticut Monica Pietrzak and Miss Michigan Lindsey Tycholiz.
Meantime, our Miss Nevada USA Georgina Vaughan Twittered updates for Vegas DeLuxe:
5 p.m. Friday: Just finished all the registration process! I now have my swimsuit, opening number outfit and photo shoots done. Luckily, I was the first girl finished, so I got some down time. Prepare to be surprised with this year’s show! Up next: a dinner with the girls.
10 p.m. Friday: Just got back to the room after a long day and nice dinner at the buffet here at Planet Hollywood. Miss Washington USA (my roommate) and I are remodeling our room to make it more like home since we will be living here for almost three weeks! I will be sending candid photos soon -- now off to bed for the charity event tomorrow.
9 a.m. today: Just finished breakfast at the Spice Market buffet, and now 11 girls and I are heading over to our Bottles of Hope cancer charity event. Having lots of fun so far -- stay tuned, because tonight I meet all the girls at the welcoming event!
