It looks like real trouble for Steve-O unless his fans drastically change tonight’s scoring by the three judges. But a surprise drop in performance has imperiled one other celebrity, and it now looks as if one star previously in the danger zone might just scrape through for another week.
Don’t read any further if you plan on watching the tape-delayed West Coast broadcast of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars and want nothing spoiled beforehand! But come back after the show to compare notes!
Lawrence Taylor surprised the judges after terrible rehearsal workouts with his jive that forced him to recruit Warren Sapp to help out, and the judges said it was his best dance this season and awarded him 22 out of 30.
Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough.
We are now down to eight celebrities in the sixth week of the contest. As expected, the leaders, despite being shuffled around with changing scores, again were Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballas tied with Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke, both with 26 out of 30. Then it was Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani with 27 and Lil’ Kim and Derek Hough as the night’s leaders with 28.
Ty Murray and Chelsie Hightower were second to last with 18 out of 30 for their jive, and Steve-O and Lacey Schwimmer hit bottom with 16 out of 30 for their rumba.
Julianne Hough and Chuck Wicks were first to dance last week, and this week they were last on the floor. They scored 23 out of 30, which put them above the bottom three, so now the viewers decide if Steve-O and Ty face elimination, or they surprise by putting Lawrence in third from bottom back into tomorrow night’s elimination.
