It’s just 30 cents today for locals to enter the Liberace Museum as it celebrates its 30th anniversary all day long. From 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, there will be free performances on the famed sparkling glass pianos there. Liberace students and winners of the Liberace piano-playing competitions in past years will play throughout the day.

To also mark the 30th anniversary, the museum will debut an anniversary exhibit that will run through May 31, and I’ve given the OK for my old Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous interview I did with Liberace back in 1984 to play. Thanks to YouTube, here’s the video:

At 5 p.m., the public is invited to watch the red carpet arrivals of many local celebrities for the fundraising concert “Liberace Through the Years: The Friends and the Music.” At 7 p.m.,Jersey Boys cast members Keith Thompson, Erich Bergen and Philip will join our former Lt. Gov. Lorraine Hunt and her husband Dennis Bono in a performance.
