Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil opened a Feelgoods Rock Bar & Grill on West Sahara last night less than 24 hours after his band rocked The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel headlining Crue Fest 2 -- click HERE for that story and photo gallery -- but the real story a few hours ago was his reunion with Rock Candy.

Rock Candy? Back in 1978, Rock Candy was the first band in which Vince was blink-and-you-missed-it involved before joining Motley Crue in 1979 (yes, Motley Crue has been together for 30 years). Another trivia fact: Rock Candy remade Brownsville Station's hit “Smokin’ in the Boys Room” with Vince, which also would become a hit for Motley Crue with Vince.

Vince Neil @Feelgoods Grand Opening

Vince took the stage at 10:22 p.m. with The Vince Neil Band and kicked off the night with Motley Crue hits “Wild Side,” “Girls, Girls, Girls” and then the reunion with Rock Candy for “Smokin’ in the Boys Room.” I preferred Vince in the more intimate Feelgoods setting after seeing him with the Crue in The Joint the night before. After this historic moment and song, I called it a night shortly before 11.

Feelin’ good at Feelgoods

The occasion for the reunion and gathering, though, was the grand opening of Feelgoods Rock Bar & Grill, co-owned by Vince and Denny “The Count” Koker. Similar in vibe as Carey Hart’s Wasted Space in the Hard Rock and the concert floor level of a House of Blues, Feelgoods, neighbors with Hash House a Go Go, is unpretentious, casual and comfortable even for non-tattooed types such as myself. The stage on the main floor will host local and national acts, and Feelgoods features Motley Crue memorabilia. I enjoyed the rock star concoction and house special Bloodbath -- Cabernet Sauvignon, Chambord and a splash of cranberry juice chilled, shaken and served up.

Mingling with the tattooed rock star crowd was KVBC entertainment reporter Alicia Jacobs with her dog Star wearing a tiny Harley Davidson leather vest, Color and Amp salon owner Michael Boychuck and Zowie Bowie duo Chris Phillips and Marley Taylor, who was glowing in a tight white miniskirt dress.

My gorgeous friend Jenny Tu, a dancer in the sexy X Burlesque at the Flamingo, and I walked by Vince and his wife Lia, stunning in an elegant white dress, as they entered Feelgoods about 8:30 p.m. They made their way to the The V Room VIP area, but, refreshingly, also walked around the bar and grill greeting friends and fans, albeit with a hulky security guard accompanying them.

Jenny played groupie and snapped photos of The Vince Neil Band and Rock Candy near the foot of the stage. Enjoy the fan photos (read non-professional photos with my digital camera), and check back later for photos from a photojournalist with a fancy camera.
