Confirming what Robin Leach reported July 26, Zowie Bowie is jumping to Monte Carlo on the Strip from The Lounge in the Palms -- click HERE for Robin’s story.

Shortly after 2 p.m. yesterday at Brand Steakhouse, Monte Carlo President and COO Anton Nikodemus made it official that Chris Phillips and Marley Taylor will be joining the Monte Carlo family and described Zowie Bowie as “one of the most entertaining couples and duos in Las Vegas.”

“Welcome to the Monte Carlo family,” said Anton, who, like Chris and Marley, is from Scottsdale, Ariz. This might explain why all three have gorgeous tans!

“On the Strip … I love it!” exclaimed Marley, who was positively radiant in a curve-hugging light purple dress. “We could not be prouder to be part of the new energy in Las Vegas at the Monte Carlo. Monte Carlo represents the spirit of Las Vegas,” Chris added. “There’s a new sense of energy here at the Monte Carlo. We’re so honored and proud that Lance Burton is sharing this theater with us.”

I spotted Marley and Chris at the opening of Vince Neil’s Feelgoods Rock Bar & Grill on Sunday night. “We love Feelgoods! It’s like L.A. in Las Vegas. We’re so proud of Vince and Lia (Vince’s wife). We’re excited that they’re sharing their talents with Las Vegas and letting local talent shine.”

Chris comes from a heavy metal background -- he was a longhaired drummer for 15 years. “Feelgoods is like coming home. We do Sinatra, and Vince is a big fan of Frank Sinatra, so maybe we’ll see him perform at our show in a suit!”

“I’ve been wanting to get to the Strip since I was 12 years old,” Chris said. “We’re so proud to be part of the new energy that is at the Monte Carlo -- the new energy of shops, restaurants and Hotel 32.” (Monte Carlo’s luxury Hotel 32 opens tomorrow.)

Zowie Bowie will perform at 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays beginning Labor Day weekend at The Pub at Monte Carlo, and, in a three-month engagement, kicks off the Zowie Bowie Vintage Vegas Show at the Lance Burton Theatre on Sept. 13. The Vintage Vegas Show, which will include a 15-piece orchestra, will pay tribute to the heyday of Las Vegas.
