Superstar recording artist Usher hit the red carpet last night to celebrate his July/August Vegas magazine cover and praised the Palms, the location of the recording sessions for the majority of his upcoming new album Monster.
“The Palms shut it down for us!” said Usher, who continued that his team and he were back in town to finish the final tracks and work on the album. Click HERE for our Las Vegas Weekly colleague Melissa Arseniuk’s report last night from the Palms.
After the red carpet, Usher, with his ever-present charming smile, made his way to The Playboy Club for a party co-hosted by Vegas and him. The five-time Grammy Award winner is the magazine’s first-ever male cover guy. Vegas, Las Vegas Weekly and Vegas DeLuxe are all Greenspun Media Group publications.
Dressed in a vest, jeans and fedora, Usher was seated at Hugh Hefner’s VIP table inside The Playboy Club with a group of friends, sipped champagne and tequila during the private event and was presented with the Playboy Key by Playboy Bunnies Erica Vosseteig and Denise Pernula. Other celebrity key holders include George Clooney, Matt Damon, Josh Duhamel, Paris Hilton, Brad Pitt and Gwen Stefani. Usher and his friends headed to Moon later in the evening.
