While Mr. Vegas DeLuxe Robin Leach is on vacation and attempting to work as little as possible from afar, Vegas DeLuxe will be featuring celebrity guest columnists for the first half of this month until Robin’s return. If you’re knowledgeable about Las Vegas, the names should be familiar. This weekend, we’re featuring five of the beautiful ladies who make life a lot sexier in Fantasy at the Luxor.
By Dar
Hello, my name is Dar! My Fantasy life has been an amazing gift that has lasted almost four years. If you ever passed a Fantasy billboard ad and even some taxis around town, I have been one of the faces of the Fantasy show at the Luxor. How Vegas is that -- your face plastered all over town?!
As a dancer in Fantasy, I have experienced red carpet events, VIP tables and fun getaways (thanks to my producer Anita Mann), and our past calendar launches have been very memorable. In fact, my Fantasy life is often filled with an expression my co-worker Tracey likes to use: “boobies and bubbles.”
Dar of Fantasy Girls.
This phrase has grown over the years, since Fantasy’s first calendar launch in 2006. Tracey and I decided to take full advantage of the suite we were so kindly given that night at the Luxor by grabbing some wine, a few glasses and some bath bubbles. My lovely English friend and I sat for three hours in our bubble bath chatting away and relaxing. The bath time was so glamorous, I kept my lace gloves and pearl choker on from the red carpet event for the entire time.
Since that year, we decided to make it an annual event every calendar launch. While the cast enjoys the other perks of the suite, we are singing away in the tub “boobies and bubbles”! I hope you are getting the sense of humor in this. It holds very true for all members of the Fantasy cast … beautiful, sexy and definitely a great sense of humor.
Along with the exciting events that occur throughout the year, the cast keeps the daily life of a showgirl interesting. The Fantasy dressing room has become our favorite spot in town. We have so much fun talking about silly things sometimes backstage, we never make it to our actual destination. My cast mate Delecia, aka my other half (“The double Ds”), has dubbed the room “Club Fantasy.”

At Club Fantasy, we non-singers will sometimes entertain the room for everybody. I have a unique Broadway voice, in which the singer in our show, Stephanie Sanchez, or “Singer,” makes special requests for my version of Elle Woods from the musical Legally Blonde. I would probably be a musical director’s worst nightmare, but I feel it’s my duty to put a smile on somebody’s face. Tracey has a Mary Poppins version of all songs! I actually believe she opens her shutters every morning and sings to the birds, “Just a spoon full of sugar … .” And even our comedian Sean Cooper made up a clever song titled “Rock the Box” that we jam out to sometimes. Aw yeah, I said, “Jam out!”
Regarding the make up of the room, every dancer is pretty tidy, but I am the exception to that rule. If you get too close to my dressing table, you may get swallowed up! It’s been a running joke for years, and we just refer to it as the black hole. I personally like to refer to it as organized chaos.
Birthdays at Fantasy also are usually very special. We have two baking tarts Jaylene and Tracey in the dressing room who supply us with fancy cakes for these occasions. I think they’re amazing, since my last attempt at an apple tart tasted like the cardboard box in which you get the cake mixture!
Fantasy Girls Dar and Tracey enjoy a bubble bath.
Overall, we are a tight bunch at Fantasy, and we enjoy entertaining. The laughter has always been constant in our cast, and if I know somebody might be having a bad day, I just keep my passport picture around to show them. That seems to cure the blues every time! We work hard, and we play hard. The daily lives, along with the special events we experience throughout the year, make our lives a real Fantasy!
It’s going to be a sexy weekend of celebrity guest columnists, with five Fantasy Girls from the Luxor, and on Monday, the Luxor trend continues with zany comic Carrot Top.
