While Mr. Vegas DeLuxe Robin Leach is on vacation and attempting to work as little as possible from afar, Vegas DeLuxe will be featuring celebrity guest columnists for the first half of this month until Robin’s return. If you’re knowledgeable about Las Vegas, the names should be familiar. This weekend, we’re featuring five of the beautiful ladies who make life a lot sexier in Fantasy at the Luxor.

By Tracey

When I was first asked to write this column, I said, “What could I possibly have to write about? The highlight of my week is the trip to Fresh & Easy.” (I love any kind of shopping!) So I racked my brain for interesting things that have happened recently and thought the so-called normal life I lead is not so normal after all. You see, I’m a dancer in Fantasy at the Luxor, and what with all the red carpet events, hosting VIP nights at different clubs, celebrity meetings and photo shoots, life as a Fantasy Girl is very exciting!

Fantasy is a great show, and I’ve been there for the past 3 1/2 years. You wouldn’t believe the hi-jinks that go on backstage. There is a cast of about 12 girls, with eight of them onstage every night. Singer Stephanie Sanchez and comedian Sean Cooper also are in the show. Contrary to popular belief, it is nothing like Showgirls. There are no marbles down the staircase and no cattiness … well, rarely! We share the theater with Menopause the Musical and Carrot Top, all of whom are great, although with all their props backstage, there’s not enough room to swing a cat! Carrot Top has some strange things hanging from the rafters. Luckily, the Fantasy Girls are hot, so we don’t need props!

As for all the events we do, a lot of them are for charity. Most recently, singer Stephanie (who we nickname Singer, how original!) and I did a radio interview for the 4th Annual ESPN 1100 AM Radiothon at the Palms for the charity Caring Place. Lots of fun banter! You may have caught it if you were listening at 2 a.m. that morning. We also were at the Palms for the premiere of Asylum Seekers at the CineVegas 2009 Film Festival, escorting the very handsome actor Daniel Irizarry down the red carpet. It’s a tough job.

Other recent charity events include the Adam and Eve Charity Love Fling at the M Resort, where Fantasy Girl Jennifer and I tried to drive up the bids on our silent auction package. The winner received a complimentary dinner for four at The Company and tickets to Fantasy. We never got to see who won, as we had to leave to do the show. Hope you enjoyed it, whoever you are!

Being a Fantasy Girl definitely has its perks. We’ve hosted many nights at some very cool clubs with the best VIP treatment. That means a great table with free drinks, and best of all … no lines, except for the bathroom! We’ve been invited to the adult pool Daydream at M Resort with a cabana and cocktails, something we will have to take them up on. A complimentary dinner at Tao is in the cards, too. We get in for free at most places because of who we know.

But some of the best times are when we party in the dressing room after the show. We call it Club Fantasy! All we have are a few bottles of wine and the stereo on, maybe a game of Gestures, and a good time! Our Christmas parties are the best with the whole cast and crew together. Sometimes we like to go to The Grape (we met Usher there opening night) or Blue Martini over at Town Square. Speaking of martinis, Noir Bar inside LAX at the Luxor has the best banana nut bread martini you’ve ever tasted. It’s delicious!

We meet celebrities all the time. For starters, our choreographer is Cris Judd. Holly Madison of The Girls Next Door has come to see the show a couple of times. She’s very sweet. Criss Angel is in the theater downstairs from us at the Luxor; we often bump into him on the red carpet. We even taped a trick with him for his TV show Mindfreak. We had the pleasure of performing with Toby Keith at the Academy of Country Music Awards here in Las Vegas one year. Some of the Philadelphia Eagles often frequent the show. I tend not to get as excited as some of the other girls about this because I’m English and follow real football (ouch!). Just kidding! I love you, guys! Thanks for supporting the show!

We have some new girls that have just joined us in the show. Yesi is from Cuba and Cherise from San Diego. Both brand new to Las Vegas like the rest of us were at one point. I’m from England, so life is very different here in Vegas! From cold and rainy to a pizza oven! I think only singer Stephanie is a true local, having been born and raised here. Rehearsals take a few weeks, and we are all trained dancers. The training starts at a very young age and is very intense. Much like boot camp, there’s a lot of blood, sweat and tears!

Every time you see the show, there will be different girls onstage, each one of them sexy and unique in her own way. No cookie-cutter types here. Busty blondes, naughty redheads and sultry brunettes! There’s something for everyone! We did a photo shoot last week to get pictures of all the cast members for the new ad campaign and merchandise. This year, we’re selling the most amazing 10-Year Anniversary Souvenir Book. For the past three years, we've had a big calendar launch/press night, and the antics we get into at the after-party could fill a whole column. Maybe Dar will dish in hers.

Speaking of Dar, this is another subject on which I could write a whole column. Fantasy Girl Dar is the epitome of Fantasy and Las Vegas. Originally from Detroit, she is beautiful with blonde hair and big boobs. And both natural at that! She’s a total professional. She once fell off the stage into the audience, very gracefully, I might add, only to hop right back up and carry on dancing, even though there was a 4-inch gash on her torso oozing with blood. Most of us would have hobbled into the wings never to reappear, but not Dar, she just carried on dancing! Cris got a real-time text describing the whole incident because his friend, Mia Michaels, celebrity judge on So You Think You Can Dance, was in the audience that night! There’s never a dull moment when Dar’s around. She’s been dancing a long time, “This ain’t my first circus!” I once heard her misquote.

The Fantasy Girls with Usher.

She’s famous for driving away with the gas pump still in her car. She sat through the whole George Wallace show stinking of gasoline after she tried to put it back on with it running all down her arms. Thank goodness for the no smoking laws. If someone had lit a cigarette, she would have gone up in flames! She will often pull Pupperoni out of her bag while digging for her keys. She’s hysterical to watch! Don’t get me wrong; she’s no dumb blonde. She’s quirky, and lots of fun to be around. And to finish with another quote from Dar that fits the life of a Fantasy Girl perfectly, “If you can’t keep up, get out of the kitchen!”

It was a sexy weekend of celebrity guest columnists with five Fantasy Girls from the Luxor, and tomorrow, the Luxor trend continues with zany comic Carrot Top.
