Celine Dion is pregnant; second child is due in May

The Associated Press is reporting out of Montreal that our former Colosseum headliner Celine Dion and her husband and manager Rene Angelil are expecting their second child.

Murielle Blondeau, a spokeswoman with the Bureau de Francine Chaloult, said today that Celine and Rene learned of the pregnancy yesterday after she underwent fertility treatments in New York. The spokeswoman said the baby is due next May.

The couple’s first child Rene-Charles started private school in Florida this week. Rene-Charles also was conceived by in vitro fertilization at the same New York clinic eight years ago.

Celine, the youngest of 14 children, and Rene have a home in Lake Las Vegas, and Celine is rumored to be returning to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace next year, although nothing has been officially announced or confirmed.
