Photo Gallery: Steve Harvey hosts Hoodie Awards at Mandalay Bay

Syndicated radio show host and comedian Steve Harvey hosted the 7th Annual Hoodie Awards at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. Steve created the awards show to acknowledge those community leaders who “maintain a positive presence in the ’hood,” and the theme about the importance of community values is something he promotes daily on his radio show.

Steve handed out awards to acknowledge winners in categories ranging from best church to best car wash to best high school to best soul food. His wife Marjorie accompanied him at Mandalay Bay.

Performers included Musiq Soulchild, Teena Marie and Jazmine Sullivan. Celebrities on the red carpet included Mo’Nique in a unique stringed white gown, comedian Tommy Davidson, TV Judge Greg Mathis, Charlie Wilson of The Gap Band, Kym Whitely, Sherri Shepard and Dr. Ian Smith of The View, K-Jon, Terrence J and La Van Davis and Cassi Davis.
