The 40th Anniversary of Woodstock is celebrated at the Fremont Street Experience during the Woodstock Tribute Palooza.

Throughout the summer, Fremont Street Experience downtown has turned the clock back 40 years to celebrate the historic music festival Woodstock in upstate New York from the hot summer of ’69.

Some of the best tribute artists on the music scene have turned up to pay homage to Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Joe Cocker, The Who, The Grateful Dead and Creedence Clearwater Revival, all of who were Woodstock headliners this month 40 years ago.

The 40th Anniversary of Woodstock is celebrated at the Fremont Street Experience during the Woodstock Tribute Palooza.

At the Woodstock Tribute Palooza event, huge crowds turned out for the giant Viva Vision display “From Havens to Hendrix,” and Bryan Bordeaux took the Fremont Street stage as Jimi Hendrix.
