The Associated Press is reporting that fugitive Ryan Alexander Jenkins, who was wanted in the murder of his swimsuit model ex-wife Jasmine Fiore, has been found dead of an apparent murder suicide in a motel in Hope, British Columbia, just east of Vancouver, police have confirmed.

It appears the reality TV star, who competed on VH1’s Megan Wants a Millionaire, “took his own life,” said Royal Canadian Mounted Police Sgt. Duncan Pound, the spokesman for the RCMP’s federal border integrity program.

“The hotel staff had gone in to check on him. ... It would be speculation to say how long he had been in there.”

RCMP made the announcement at a press conference this evening.

Ryan, 32, a real estate developer, was wanted in California on first-degree murder charges after the mutilated body of Jasmine, 28 and a Las Vegas model, was found near Los Angeles last Sunday. Ryan disappeared last week, but his boat was found Wednesday at a marina near the U.S.-Canada border south of Vancouver.

Jasmine’s teeth and fingertips were cut from her body, and police in California had to use her breast implant serial numbers to help identify her. Jasmine dated Las Vegas investment banker Robert Hasman before marrying Ryan here on March 18.
