Romantic Hollywood couple Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy celebrated their fourth anniversary on a quiet runaway trip here. The superstar funnyman and his longtime live-in actress girlfriend stayed in a luxurious Sky Villa in the Fantasy Tower at George Maloof’s Palms.
My spywitnesses said the twosome looked very much in love, and they played Texas Hold ’em through the early hours of the morning. They even posed for this unique photo during their quick trip!
*Congratulations to Pearl Lee of New Paltz, N.Y., who became the one-millionth audience member this week to attend Mac King’s Comedy Magic Show at Harrah’s. Pearl won two prize packages of goodies put together by the hotel group and the magic comedian. Pearl, who was crowned by Mac, also received a personal backstage meet-and-greet session with the star.

*Stylist to the stars Michael Boychuck, who received national attention this week after Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris received her first-ever haircut at his Amp Salon in the Palms last Sunday, will partner with longtime friend and hair mogul Oribe for a special two-day event. It will celebrate the launch of the new line of Oribe Hair Care products at two of Michael’s Las Vegas salons, Color in Caesars Palace and Amp. They will be the first salons in town to carry the exclusive Oribe Hair Care line.
Next Tuesday, Oribe will demonstrate his techniques at Color. Miss Nevada 2009 Georgina Vaughan and Zowie Bowie blonde bombshell Marley Taylor will get the star treatment and model his styles. It will be followed by a two-hour meet and greet. The next morning, the two stylists will host an exclusive, private training session at Amp, followed by a brunch at Simon in Palms Place.

*Our “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas” slogan is in the running for Madison Avenue’s Advertising Walk of Fame, which takes place during Advertising Week in New York from Sept. 21-25. Our locals are being encouraged to show community pride by voting for the hometown slogan HERE. We’re competing against the New York and Virginia tourism nominees with their slogans “I love New York” and “Virginia is for Lovers.” Other nominees: The New York Times, “All the news that’s fit to print”; McDonald’s, “I’m Lovin’ It”; Intel, “Intel Inside”; Dunkin’ Donuts, “Time to make the doughnuts”; Subway, “Eat fresh”; Panasonic, “Ideas for life”; L’Oreal, “Because you’re worth it”; and the only one I think that’s stiff competition, Nike’s “Just do it.”
