Photo Gallery: The dog days of summer are for real in Las Vegas

We get a ton of photos across the desk here at Vegas DeLuxe. Each is reviewed for selection, editing and posting. During the high-temperature summer nights, there’s a little dip in the celebrity scene, so our contributing photographers find other subjects for their cameras.

Our contributing photographer Tom Donoghue set his sights in his own backyard, and these photos of the dog days of summer were just too cute to pass up.

On a 112-degree afternoon, and, folks, this weekend we’re supposed to set record highs up there yet again, there was Sugar trying to keep cool and be cool in her Anaheim Angels hat. Precious tried to keep up with Sugar, while Joey the hummingbird and his friends popped in for a guest appearance at the fountain.
