Trying to figure out controversial father Jon Gosselin from Jon and Kate Plus 8 could be a full-time occupation unto itself. Rumored current girlfriend Hailey Glassman was nowhere in sight when Jon showed up poolside at Wet Republic at the MGM Grand.

However, his mom Pamela was with Jon! And with an entourage of best guy pals, Jon was all smiles when a bevy of bikini beauties swarmed him for his fun in the sun afternoon. While on the red carpet, Jon said he was excited to be in Las Vegas, and during this week’s MAGIC convention show, he will meet with fashion designer Christian Audigier.

Jon said his septuplets had their first day at pre-school this past week, and they’d been thrilled with their first school bus rides! Despite his recent personal headline-making dramas, the reality TV star remained in good spirits all day, took photos with fans and chatted with female admirers.

He spent most of the afternoon in one of the VIP bungalows, relaxing on the daybed to watch TV and stretching out to tan in front of the private dipping pool. He wound up the center of attention as numerous bikini-clad ladies flocked to the area for a moment with the new bachelor.

Alleged gal pal Hailey was not in his party, either, when later he escaped the spotlight to watch the Cirque du Soleil spectacular Ka at MGM Grand. He and his mother went backstage afterward to meet the cast and pose for a photo.
