Photo Gallery: America’s Tallest Christmas Tree stands at M Resort

A 109-foot-tall Christmas Tree, the tallest in the U.S., is installed at The M Resort.

It stands at an amazing 109 feet in height, and the white fir traveled 900 miles from Oregon to The M Resort on the south end of the Strip.

Now it will take a full week for the resort staff to decorate it with tens of thousands of lights and ornaments before the official lighting ceremony on Dec. 12 in the Villagio del Sole outdoor entertainment and events plaza.

“It will be an amazing sight to see when decorated, and we’re hoping it spreads holiday cheer around the country,” said Anthony Marnell III, chairman and CEO of The M Resort who checked out the tree upon its early arrival.

Contributing photographer Tom Donoghue returned later to chronicle its installation for this new photo gallery.
