The fun has just begun! It was the debut day of 10 competitions for the 25th anniversary of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo at the Thomas & Mack Center. In nine more days, we’ll know who are the greatest cowboys in the world.

Last night was the first sellout performance as the 51st year of National Finals Rodeo got underway. The rodeo was rocking the rafters, from roping to barrel racing to bucking the broncos. This is excitement at its finest.

Our contributing photographer Tom Donoghue was on front-line duty and captured this extraordinary photo gallery. He’ll be back nightly until Dec. 12, when the new winners are crowned champions.
