The second and third days of this year’s Wrangler National Finals Rodeo were completed over the weekend at our Thomas & Mack Center, and our contributing photographer Tom Donoghue was ringside for all the excitement captured in his remarkable photo galleries.

It was action, action and more nonstop action, and it all got underway with an “electric cowboy,” followed by Pete Coors driving in on a stagecoach. Then it was time for the cowboys and cowgirls to take over as the horses and bulls put them through their paces.

We’ll have the standings later, but at first glance, it appears as if Trevor Brazile will again be crowned world champion cowboy when it all wraps next weekend.

Meantime, Las Vegas remains Cowboy Town when we have seven more contests to enjoy before the final triumph. And don’t forget the amazing Cowboy Christmas Show continuing at the Convention Center during the day.

The fifth day of competition is tonight, and we’ll have photo galleries for Days 4 and 5 tomorrow, along with the halfway mark standings.
