Lady Gaga begins two-day run at the Palms without Kid Cudi

It’s highly likely that Lady Gaga will step onto the stage of The Pearl in the Palms tonight and tomorrow for her two Las Vegas concerts in a high-neck, floor-length red gown with matching, sequined, raccoon-like eye makeup.
Then at dizzying speed, she’ll put Cher, Madonna, Gwen Stefani and Bjork to couture shame in a flurry of fabulous, flamboyant fashions as she promotes her album Fame Monster. Call Gaga the countess chameleon of the charts!
I’m told that the 23-year-old former New York performance artist turned fashion-forward style-setter and leader of the way-out-there pack will race through the creations of the Haus of Gaga fashion line.
They include a cyborg outfit, the famous bubble dress, a pyrotechnic bra and a lingerie-clad disco number as a 1980s club queen. There might even be a zombie bridal outfit. What she’ll wear to perform her latest single “Bad Romance” remains a secret until show time.
Palms hotel mogul George Maloof will lead a star-studded, Playmate-filled crowd to his private box at tonight’s show, which was added when her one and only original concert tomorrow sold out in less than an hour.

Opening act is out
Meantime, the following statement was released this morning shortly before 11: Kid Cudi, who was set to open for Lady Gaga tonight and tomorrow at The Pearl in the Palms, will no longer be a part of the Monster Ball Tour. If guests would like a refund due to Kid Cudi no longer performing, they must do so at The Pearl box office before the start of the show.
No reason for the very last-minute departure was given.
