Photo Gallery: Rain’s Down & Derby is now a monthly event

The retro-inspired, roller-skating Down & Derby disco party at Rain in the Palms is such a hit, it’s here to stay. Kid Sister presented a special performance along with turntable mix masters DJ Nugget and DJ SHR3D, while Morning Zoo DJ Chet Buchanan was there celebrating the successful conclusion of his annual toy drive.

Down & Derby, aka the best party on wheels, has become a unique nightlife experience. The throwback events have been tearing up roller rinks in New York, Pittsburgh, L.A. -- and now Las Vegas -- and mixes 1970s roller disco, vibrant DJ disco energy and guests in fashion attire of the era.

Down & Derby returns to Rain on Jan. 21, Feb. 25, March 18, April 22 and May 27.
