Playboy beauty’s Las Vegas wedding caps eight-year romance

Congratulations to The Playboy Morning Show radio host Andrea Lowell on her runaway Las Vegas wedding that takes place at 1 p.m. today in a Strip wedding chapel. Andrea told me that although it’s a “spur of the moment” ceremony, her boyfriend and she became engaged this summer after an eight-year romance.

“It was just time to do it properly,” she laughed.

Tonight, Andrea and her new husband will celebrate with friends at a wedding dinner that Iron Chef winner Kerry Simon has arranged at his Palms Place restaurant. Then Palms hotel tycoon George Maloof will present them with a special Kerry Simon wedding cake as the Bunnies at The Playboy Club atop the Palms fete the newlyweds.

Andrea, who was here in Las Vegas recently for the Sirius satellite radio broadcasts of her daily Playboy show, has appeared more than 25 times as one of the most photographed blonde models in Playboy over the years. A cover girl pinup on Strip Las Vegas magazine, she also was a contestant in our Surreal Life Fames Games that I hosted and we filmed here. Andrea starred in the Playboy TV series Canoga Park and was featured as Hub Girl on Night Calls and the Weekend Flash weathercaster.

She told me: “It’s a very quick round-trip visit, just two nights in a fireplace honeymoon suite at Palms Place. We drove in from Los Angeles because we couldn’t find any open plane seats available, and we’ll drive home early tomorrow. Everything was sold out for New Year’s. But we just wanted to see in 2010 as newlyweds!”

The couple picked up their wedding license last night upon arrival, and Andrea raced off afterward to buy a wedding dress -- and a new outfit for tonight’s celebration party. We’ll have the exclusive wedding party photos here tomorrow at Vegas DeLuxe.
