Having conquered hip-hop and reality TV, rapper Flavor Flav is now branching out into regular television, and he debuted his new late-night horror series at the National Association of Television Program Executives convention at Mandalay Bay.
Flavor Flav is the host of Dean Taylor’s Nite Tales, which stars Tony Todd, Tyrin Turner, Sticky Fingers and Fredo Starr. The fright fest is a twisted double-feature horror extravaganza that tells the story of a group of would-be robbers making an escape that takes a turn for the worse when they encounter gruesome hungry cannibals, and more and more bodies turn up dead in a frightening storm.
Flav took his sales duties seriously. He walked the exhibit booths at the convention floor with the Nite Tales team after hosting a luncheon for TV writers. He signed autographs and posed for photos with TV station personnel from across the country and ran into both the Obama Girl and the Samson & Goliath characters promoting their rival shows.
Elsewhere at NATPE, actress Lisa Kudrow took part in a panel while promoting her new show, Web Therapy. She now heads her own company Is or Isn’t Entertainment. Lisa’s panel was moderated by NATPE President Rick Feldman and focused on a British cable show that turned history into offbeat reality. Lisa and Meredith Ahr, NBC’s VP of alternative programming and specials, were locked in a heavy discussion about the unique series, asking if wacky U.S. history could become a primetime hit.

Also at NATPE was the stunning Giuliana Rancic, who co-hosts E! News with Ryan Seacrest daily and is a regular Las Vegas visitor.
