Barbie, at age 50, is still an ageless blonde beauty

It’s said to be the height of rudeness for a man to ask a lady her age, but how could one resist when it comes to the world’s most famous blonde doll? In fact, Barbie is turning 50! How old that makes Ken is anybody’s guess.

To celebrate the milestone, Barbie (OK, models resembling her) posed for a luxury magazine photo shoot in the Palazzo’s stores and restaurants to commemorate her style through the ages.

The looks included 1960s Barbie wearing Tory Burch at Sushi Samba and a businesswoman Barbie wearing vintage Chanel from Annie Creamcheese and a business bag from Lambertson Truez shot at Bauman Rare Books. Then Barbie celebrated St. Patrick’s Day in Poleci photographed at the Double Helix Wine Bar.

Malibu Barbie wore chic couture swimwear from Diane von Furstenberg at the Palazzo pool, and at the wondrous waterfall in the Shoppes at the Palazzo, Princess Barbie wore Claudio Milano. Finally, birthday Barbie hit Lavo in a sequined ensemble, again from Diane von Furstenberg.

Happy Birthday, Barbie, and I’ll keep that half-century mark quiet from now on!
