The Palms serves as party central for Snoop Dogg and company

Snoop Dogg probably feels perfectly at home in the smoky atmosphere of Rain.

After calling Las Vegas home for several years for its annual SIA Tradeshow, the skiers and snowboarders are relocating to Denver. But the SnowSports Industries America attendees had one big blowout at Rain in the Palms with superstar rapper Snoop Dogg entertaining at a free concert.

Our contributing photographer Hew Burney was as close-as-could-be for these photos of the Skull Candy headphone promotion. In the past few days, the Palms has been hit with an avalanche of stars, including another Rain concert with Lollapalooza creator and ex-Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell. Perry, who twists the turntables as DJ Peretz, also was frontman of Porno for Pyros. Washington Redskins tight end Chris Cooley was at Paul Oakenfold’s Perfecto party in Rain.

Next door at chef Barry Dakake’s N9NE, there was a celebrity invasion. Members of Disturbed led by singer David Draiman piled in for steaks, garlic mashed potatoes and Mai Tais to wash down oysters and sashimi. Other diners included UFC superstar Chuck Liddell and socialite fashion designer Nicky Hilton, who devoured the Surf ’n’ Turf with mac & cheese and the loaded baked potato.

Torah Bright and Alexis Waite at the Palms.

Nicky went up to the sky-high Playboy Club at the Palms, where she posed for photos with the bountiful bunnies. Also at The Playboy Club were Disturbed, Frank Thomas, Rob Dyrdek, Bruce Buffer, Mike Goldberg and Dana White. Mad Men’s Mark Moses partied there for three hours. Upstairs in Moon, pro snowboarders Alexis Waite and Torah Bright celebrated their last night of SIA from midnight to 3 a.m., as did Drydek.

The cast of the Starz series Crash at the Palms.

Over at Ghostbar in the original Palms, Stephan Bonner, known in MMA circles as “The American Psycho” for his appearances on Ultimate Fighter’s first season, partied with members of Sevendust. Chef Geno Bernardo’s Nove at the Palms hosted the cast of Starz series Crash in a group of 127 Lionsgate TV executives. They dined in the private terrace room and enjoyed Brunello di Montalcino from Italy and Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand with their feast!
