Multi-talented entertainer and impressionist Gordie Brown left his Venetian showroom last year to go on the road with fellow Canadian Celine Dion. Gordie was the opening act for the North American leg of Celine’s worldwide Taking Chances Tour. Now he returns home to Vegas and tonight kicks off the premiere of his all-new show in his own Gordie Brown showroom at the Golden Nugget downtown.

Gordie was signed to a multi-year headline contract last September, but it isn’t until now that Celine is winding down her tour for Gordie to open in his 600-seat theater on the third level of the hotel’s newly furnished Spa Tower. Gordie and his live band will perform five nights a week, with Sundays and Mondays off. A state-of-the-art digital, audio and visual system has been installed for his shows.

The showroom has been home to the likes of Frank Sinatra, Paul Anka, Kenny Rogers and, most recently, fellow Canadian impressionist Rich Little. I’ll check in on Gordie when I return from a quick weekend in Cabo San Lucas for some much-needed R&R under the sun, and we’ll have that exclusive one-on-one interview right here in the near future.
