Back in December 2004, creative designers Gela Nash-Taylor and Pamela Skaist-Levy were scared stiff about opening their very first Juicy Couture store. They fretted that they would never do big business from the modest 1,500-square-foot shop in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace.

They shouldn’t have worried one iota because it grew into one of the biggest and most successful fashion business stories to ever come out of Las Vegas! Viva Las Juicy! Now they have 61 stores across America, with another five set to open before year’s end.

That’s in addition to the 15-plus stores overseas in Italy, Japan, Hong Kong and Dubai, with more to come this year in London and 10 new stores throughout Asia. All told, that’s 93 locations worldwide in less than five years!

They shut the original store to celebrate the opening of a brand new 4,800-square-foot location -- still at the Forum Shops. For the first four days after the opening-night celebration, they proved their love for our city by donating 10 percent of all their sales over the four-day weekend period to the Nevada Cancer Institute.

The original and now shuttered shop will become the first Juicy Intimates underwear store, and that’s likely to be as successful as all their other fashion lines with outrageous, saucy and suggestive sayings for men, women and children.
