Did Benji Madden kiss a girl on Valentine’s Day?

Katy Perry and Benji Madden arrived in Las Vegas as hot Valentine’s Day singles but wound up a cozy, kissing and new hot Hollywood celebrity couple! Here’s the first photo of them together early this morning at Lavo in the Palazzo after their separate performances at the Hard Rock Hotel.

It was exactly a year ago that Benji’s 10-month relationship with Paris Hilton began on a Valentine’s Day date -- and then crashed right after Thanksgiving. Katy broke up with her previous rocker beau, Travis McCoy of Gym Class Heroes, this past Christmas-to-New Year’s Eve period. So both were single and available!

Last night, Benji and Katy were at the Hard Rock for separate shows and then joined up in a group of 20 for the celebrations at Lavo. By night’s end, they were sitting together and chatting closely.

One spywitness told me: They actually both stood up every now and again and waved to the crowd acknowledging they were on a Valentine’s date! They were holding hands and squeezing tight.

“At one point, when the deejay played her hit ‘I Kissed a Girl,’ Katy grabbed the club’s mic and yelled, ‘Screw boys! … we got girls!’ and she even danced with Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Jessica Hart, who was there with her own boyfriend, Nicolas Potts, from the band Tamarana featured on MTV’s The City! But it was all in fun because Katy clearly only had eyes for Benji.

“It was obvious Paris was far away from his thoughts. They hit it off immediately. The large size of their crowd did nothing to hide their obvious interest in each other. They certainly looked like they clicked as a hot new Hollywood coupling. We’re definitely going to see them together again.”
