When your ex follows you to town as you throw an “Anti-Valentine’s Day Party,” that’s going to put a damper on the fun! When Khloe Kardashian ran into NBA ex-boyfriend Rashad McCants, who she’d dumped recently at her table inside Tao at The Venetian, there was a chill in the air! The 24-year-old shooting guard for the Minnesota Timberwolves was headed to Phoenix for the mid-season break but stopped in Vegas when he heard Khloe, also 24, was throwing the party.
Newly single Khloe hosted the anti-love party with 10 friends, including sister Kourtney, brother Robert and childhood friends Malika and Khadija Haqq. Khloe came dressed to thrill in a black mini skirt and pink Christian Louboutin heels to strut her new svelte physique.
After a dinner of Kobe beef, Chilean sea bass and sushi rolls, servers presented Khloe with a shiny, red heart-shaped cake complete with a crack down the center to represent a broken heart -- and a large butcher knife stuck in one side. “She thought it was hilarious and a perfect fit in keeping with the party,” one spywitness told me. “Everybody was taking photos of her with the cake. Nobody guessed moments later upstairs in the club, she would run right into her ex!
“That was another surprise -- except it wasn’t planned. The group was dancing to DJ Reach’s music when the very man Khloe had just dumped was right there at the party where she was celebrating their breakup.
“Khloe and Kourtney were forced to act. They both went together to the DJ booth and had him play Danity Kane’s hit ‘Damaged.’ As the song played, Khloe grabbed the mic and screamed out, ‘Screw Valentine’s Day! Have a Happy Singles Day instead!’
“The crowd erupted with cheers and set off camera and cell phone flashes all over the club as the sisters danced in the booth. Khloe returned to the table to find Rashad still waiting there, but she ignored him totally and after a few minutes, he was moved to his own table farther away on the dance floor, but he kept an eye on her right through the night.
Khloe, Robert and Kourtney Kardashian celebrate Valentine's Day at Tao like no other siblings can.
“The girls didn’t let him spoil the fun. They continued to party, and Khloe proved she was enjoying her new single status and stayed until 2:30 a.m. before retreating to bed.”
And remember, folks: It was Friday the 13th!
