Strip Scribbles: The Men of X to strip at Hooters; X girls mark 2nd anniversary

The eXotic, eXciting and eXuberant X Burlesque dancers celebrated the second anniversary of their topless temptress show with a red carpet gala at the Flamingo. Their anniversary preceded news that will make history -- and probably world headlines: Here come the boys!
The Men of X are invading the bastion of female fortitude at Hooters Hotel Casino opposite MGM Grand. Vegas DeLuxe can officially confirm that the girls in the orange hot shorts and tight, figure-hugging white tank tops will get company from the opposite sex as of March 13. The handsome hunks will strip down burlesque style in a nightly show they promise will be hotter and more exciting than Chippendales and Thunder From Down Under!
Is this the height of political correctness? Is this the best example of equal rights? So while Hooters’ male guests ogle the curvy croupiers, Hooters’ female guests can now salivate after the muscle men!
Country singer Toby Keith selected the X men to model his new TK Steelman clothing line he’s unveiling for MAGIC Marketplace buyers tonight at his Harrah’s bar and grill club. We’ll have the first-look video of them here tomorrow; meantime, click HERE for our TK Steelman story posted this morning.
Men of X debuts March 13 at Hooters Casino.
The X men shoot their first photo sessions for Hooters tomorrow, and final rehearsals begin next week. The Men of X has been a two-year touring casino production for X producers Matt and Angela Stabile. “We finally signed them to a home-based Vegas resident run,” Angela told me last night shortly after the new Hooters contract was signed.
X’s provocative presentation of pulchritude has an even hotter and sexier look now with new dance numbers and barely there costumes and several new shapely, sensual striptease sirens. Six sinful sex goddesses kept hearts racing during the 75-minute production to celebrate their second year anniversary at the Flamingo.
Chippendales dancers James Wilcox and Jace Crispin walk the red carpet at the second anniversary of the Flamingo's X Burlesque.
The anniversary show brought out Flamingo headliners Nathan Burton and Vinny Favorito, NASCAR driver Jimmy Vassar, former Cult drummer Lez Warner, comics Mike Allen and Rob Sherwood currently appearing at the Bonkerz Comedy Club, BMX pro dirt jumper Ricardo Laguna, members of the rock group Envy, Chippendales dancers Jace Crispin and James Wilcox, the Sin City Sinners with Brent Muscat from Faster Pussycat and Todd Kerns from Age of Electric, MTV’s Top Pop Group winner Mosaic and adult film stars Sunset Thomas and Randy West. Actress and fashion icon Sienna Miller.
*Congratulations to talented Sienna Miller, who has been named ShoWest Supporting Actress of the Year. Sienna will be in town for the presentation April 2 at Bally’s and Paris. The news comes in advance of her starring role in this summer’s G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra set for an Aug. 7 release. The American-born British beauty currently onscreen in Edge of Love also will be seen this year in The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and will make her Broadway debut with After Miss Julie.
ShoWest is the largest annual convention for the motion picture industry with more than 5,000 worldwide members attending from 50 countries. Mitch Neuhasuer, co-managing director of the event, said: “From Alfie to Factory Girl to Interview, Ms. Miller has shown an incredibly wide range of acting talent, and she is going to blow everybody away in the action role of this summer’s big box office attraction.” Past recipients of the award include Angelina Jolie, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Dame Judi Dench, Marisa Tomei, Dakota Fanning, Rachel McAdams and Rosario Dawson.
Bette Midler.
*To celebrate the first anniversary of The Showgirl Must Go On this Friday, Bette Midler is adding a run of 22 performances from May 27 through June 28. Her song-and-dance spectacular at the Caesars Palace Colosseum has been continuously at the top of concert sales charts with sell-out houses for the past year. “The Showgirl Must Go On is not only the biggest show of my career, it’s the biggest show in the history of show business,” said the self-proclaimed People’s Diva. “I can’t believe I’ve already been in Vegas for a year, but if you haven’t seen me yet, get your butt down here. I am giving Sin City a roasting and toasting she'll never forget.”
Calendar girl Kim Kardashian.
*Shoes worn and signed by Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, Lauren Conrad and Avril Lavigne were among the celebrity footwear auctioned off at Blush in the Wynn. Shoe designer Ruthie Davis kicked off the star shoe sale to benefit the charity Clothes Off Our Back of the World Shoe Association.
Zak Bagans (center) is one of the filmmakers behind the paranormal documentary Ghost Adventures. It's a tough job, but someone's got to do it.
*Vegas director, producer, host and writer Zak Bagans won a new 26-episode order for his Travel Channel series Ghost Adventures. Additionally, Fremantle Media, who distributes American Idol, Celebrity Apprentice and America’s Got Talent worldwide, will now syndicate Zak’s show globally. The inaugural episode of Ghost Adventures last October was one of the highest-rated series premieres, and the eight-episode first season increased in viewership. New episodes will premiere in June, and the crew will leave Nevada and travel to other scary locations worldwide. Zak has set locations in La Purisima Mission in Lompoc, Calif.; Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia; The Bird Cage Theatre in Tombstone, Ariz.; Poveglia Island in Poveglia, Italy; and Rose Hall in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
“It is clear there is a loyal audience for content focused on mystery and the tales of haunting experiences,” said Michael Klein, senior vice president of content for Travel Channel. “Ghost really appealed to legions of passionate paranormal viewers. The world is full of locations steeped in mystery and haunting occurrences, so we can now give fans the best in paranormal programming.”
During each episode, host Zak along with crew Nick Groff and camera tech Aaron Goodwin hit the road searching for the most evil, sinister and haunted locations in the world to investigate. They put themselves face-to-face with evil spirits that have been documented as having injured people. During their investigations, the trio uses their trademark raw technique while locked down from dusk to dawn inside each haunted location armed with only night vision cameras and digital recorders.
*Here’s an advance date so you don’t miss the excitement: The first Dream Team Poker tournament open to the public will be over the three-day March 27 weekend at Caesars Palace. More than 100 teams totaling 300 players will compete for the $150,000 prize pool. You can watch video of past events at www.dreamteampoker.com.
