Our contributing photographers were busy this week with a near collision course of concerts in The Mirage. It started with hip-hop artist and producer T-Pain at Jet. His show brought out retired New York Knicks great and my old pal Charles Oakley, Jason Terry of the Dallas Mavericks, Patrick O’Bryant, Kendrick Perkins and Ronjon Rondo of the Boston Celtics, poker pro Phil Ivey and Dwight Freeney of the Indianapolis Colts.

Dolla at Jet.

For years, rapper Dolla planned to party it up in style for his 21st birthday, but it’s taken him since November when he celebrated to get here for the full blowout. He kept his promise with a bash at Jet, and his pals R&B crooner Tank, boxing champion “Sugar” Shane Mosley and crew took over the VIP booths, which were swarmed by eye-candy girls trying to entice the tattooed rapper. At 1:30 a.m., the revelry caught up, and Dolla took the mic in the deejay booth and gave an unexpected two-song performance! Baseball slugger Frank Thomas and Eric Green of the Arizona Cardinals watched the action from separate tables.

Over at the Beatles Revolution lounge, Interscope recording artists LMFAO gave a high-energy hip-hop performance in the duo’s vibrantly colorful outfits. They had an entourage of 20 when they took to the stage performing their hits including “I’m in Miami Trick” and Kanye West’s “Love Lockdown.”
